The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pushed up the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
